Tie Clip – MNRR Locomotive

Tie Clip – bar style, with Metro-North FL9-AC Locomotive (this is of the FL9 that was converted to A/C traction motors, from DC – which was a research and development project using the old FL9 locomotives and ABB. Converted from a 16 cylinder 567 cubic inch engine to a 12 cylinder 710 CI engine.  This extra room was needed to accommodate the electronics and converters to convert DC to AC for the regulation of the AC motors.
